About me...

My journey as a musician started when I was 6, when I was told that piano lessons were on a Friday, that I must be good and do what the teacher asks. I didn't really question it, piano lessons were the 'done thing', my sister had started learning 5 years prior and I just followed on. Little did my parents know that what started as a little hobby, was going to become a very major part of my life. It became very clear that I felt so at home behind the piano and would spend hours just playing for enjoyment. After my dad took me to see Sir James Galway at the Guildhall, I chose the flute as well (or perhaps it chose me!), and had achieved ABRSM grade 8 on both by age 15.

When I finished school, I attended Trinity College of music to study my degree in piano performance, specialising in 19th century social history of the piano. I studied piano under the wonderful inspiration of Philip Fowke, and flute under the enthusiastic guidance of Lynda Coffin.

I sought a fresh challenge in the saxophone after I completed my degree and acheived my ATCL diploma 5 years later. And no, I haven't started another instrument...yet!

As a performer, I have had the privilege of of playing at a number of concert venues including St. James concert hall in Guernsey, Chelmsford cathedral and the Royal Festival Hall with Sir James Galway and the London Mozart Players.

What I do...

As a soloist, I can offer a wide range of repertoire on piano, flute and saxophone, usually tailored to suit my various audiences. I play for recitals, exam accompaniment, wedding ceremonies, receptions, birthdays, anniversaries and, on a less cheerful note,I offer bespoke service for funerals and will be happy to take requests. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your event, please send me a message via the link at the top right of this page, and I will be only too happy to help.

Or... you could book me as part of a group. I perform as part of the St. George Barn Dance band, a Ceilidh band complete with our own caller. Please ask for more details and I will put you in touch with the band leader to book your Barn Dance.
