I am a dedicated and experienced teacher. I teach flute, piano and music theory, all up to grade 8. I use Trinity Guildhall and ABRSM examination boards to suit my students.
I believe that it is important that my students enjoy playing their chosen instrument which is why all my lessons are specifically tailored to the individual. Some students wish to take exams regularly, whilst others prefer to simply play without the pressure of exams.

I have often heard people say, "I wish I had learnt to play a musical instrument." My outlook is that it is never too late to learn which I why I can happily say that I teach all ages from 6 to 60 and beyond!

I teach at my studio in the heart of the Essex countryside, and I provide good facilities to ensure that every lesson is as valuable as the last. I have two pianos, one for me, and one for my students. This enables me to demonstrate new ideas or techniques quickly, without interrupting the flow of the lesson. I also gives everyone their own personal space; I started this during the pandemic, but have found it beneficial both for myself and my students.
Past students have gone on to study their instrument at University and subsequently, have found work in the music industry. Instrumental and theory exams can be used to gain UCAS points and are also good subjects for Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
